OR WHY RAISING KITTENS IS MY HEART'S DESIRE

I received my first cat when I was nine years old. He was a Siamese my mom named Bozo. Since that time I've had many cats and loved them all. I was looking for a Tonkanese when I met Katye McDorman and she introduced me to the wonderful world of Siberians. I fell in love instantly. I loved the face, I loved the coat, and I especially loved the personality.

Katye gave me the opportunity to foster several of her mothers and raise the litters of kittens. My children were thrilled. We had never had this experience, although I had some second hand acknowledge. Katye was there with advice and answers for all my questions. Even though it was hard to say good bye to the kittens I felt just like I had prepared a child to go out into the world and I had given it the best start possible. Through careful preparation I knew that it had a wonderful new forever home, and I had had an important part of that process.

My children have had cats in the home since they came home from the hospital. After all what is a home without a cat? So being part of this process is very natural for them.

For me it was a natural progression, to begin to breed these wonderful felines to share the joy they bring to our lives with others in South Florida and beyond.

Our immediate future plans include a new male kitten for our breeding program. He is coming directly from Russia and has a championship background. Many thanks to Pat Johnston for her help in facilitating his purchase. He will be arriving at the end of October 2007.
